It seems too vivid to be a dream

Each spasm as I gasp for air

A gracious prisoner in this room

With eyes closed and your tongue caressing

Sweeping all that isn’t as each layer of

Me is peeled away like an onion

Tickled as you begin with soft pecks and kisses

Burnt eyes– hypnotizing– following

Bathed by your tongue as you make your way south

To the rigid sculpture erected

A demolitionist inhaling every pebble

My eyes roll backwards as if performing a flip

Mold remaining despite moisture

Never eroding

An inviting burrow

The python strikes as the earth

Constricts yet

Rain allows movement

As time

Freezes and the moaning

Of the wind penetrates every orpheus of my soul

A hypnotic and instructive

Symphony as the python

Constricted sheds its skin

Shedding and glistening

Like a brand new sports car

In the rain

A luster, a new

Layer has been accessed

The rain subsides

I go and get dressed

I grin as I’m tickled by the wind

I stare out of my balcony

A moon I’ll never forget

An eternal fragrance of spring

Sifts through the night

Accompanied by fireflies

  1. Physical and mental peeling of layers. Love the imagery and the snake metaphor. When we give ourselves over to lust, we leave nothing hidden. I also like the break before you end the piece on the balcony. When we arrive at this moment, we are anew. Great writing, Pharaoh.

    1. Haha thanks bro, fun to dabble with some erotica every now and then 🙂 And no, just a pic from pinterest. Thought it went well with the poem of unraveling layers of yourself while exploring someone else, and that nostalgic feeling afterwards.
